A private space to think

For the moments when a good life falls out of balance.

Career, money, relationships, peace of mind. When one pulls too hard, the others quietly suffer. Equilive is a private, confidential conversation to help you find your footing again.

To live in equilibrium is to hold the inner and the outer at once, to enjoy the contrasts of life rather than fear its highs and lows, and to meet each situation as a chance to serve, to grow, or to leave something worthwhile behind.

But how? Let’s discover that together, for you.

Who you will be speaking with
Mahendra Baid
Mahendra Baid
Founder, Equilive

I am not a life coach, and I am not a therapist. I am someone you can think alongside.

For over twenty years I have built businesses and helped businesses grow, leading sales and business development across six industries, and worked with and invested in more than twenty-five startups, and watched markets and cycles turn. Alongside all of that, I have kept a steady meditation practice, years of Vipassana and reflection that taught me as much as any boardroom did.

What I offer is the two worlds together: genuine worldly experience and a genuine inner practice. That pairing is the whole point of Equilive. It lets a conversation be practical and grounded, and also deep. You can be fully honest, think clearly, and leave with a real next step.

If you carry real responsibility

Founders, leaders, people others depend on. You know a particular loneliness. The bigger the role, the fewer the people you can be fully honest with. The decisions, the doubts, the restlessness beneath the confident face. You carry them alone, because everyone is looking to you to have it together.

This is a space where you don’t have to. Where you can think out loud, honestly, with someone who has carried weight too, and find your footing again.

What Equilive offers

Dhi, experience and clarity you can draw on

Dhi is an old word for discerning intelligence, the gathered experience of a lifetime, offered to help you see your own situation clearly. In each conversation, we look at where life is out of balance and gently bring it back into harmony.

Career & Work
Direction, decisions, the founder’s or operator’s next move.
Money
Your relationship with wealth, security and what is enough.
Relationships
The people around you, and how you show up for them.
Peace of Mind
Restlessness, comparison, and the search for stillness.

And where it helps, I bring more than a conversation.

In their own words

Real conversations, real turning points

Names have been changed for privacy. The words, and the shifts, are real.

The operator who suddenly had options

Successful, capable, and choosing his next move

He had done well. His startup had given him and his team real reward, and with it came a set of big questions. Which way to grow next? And a quieter one underneath: how to steady his own restless mind.

We worked on both. On the outer path, we thought through where his real strengths lay and what would teach him most in the years ahead. On the inner, I offered an honest, doable way to begin a meditation practice suited to how his mind actually works, and a gentle reminder to tend the other parts of life now that one had gone well. I put together a detailed, personal set of notes for him to work from.

“I read it properly and found immense value in it. This is exactly the kind of guidance I was looking for from someone experienced. I’ll start implementing it as soon as possible. Thank you for taking the time to create something so personalized for me.”, Rohan, startup operator (name changed)
The founder finding his footing

Working hard, and looking for what would move the needle

He was building in a competitive space and searching for traction. He read it as a marketing and funding challenge. Looking closely together, the real opportunity was elsewhere, in how the business reached people and turned effort into revenue.

We first refocused on small, winnable steps to rebuild momentum, and then I gave him a structured, step-by-step plan for the distribution and revenue architecture underneath it all.

“Just after that discussion, things started falling in place. Very kind of you, Mahendra ji. Hearty thanks, treat’s on me when we meet in person.”, Arjun, founder in overseas education (name changed)
The accomplished man seeking stillness

Outwardly settled, inwardly restless

He came carrying real unrest. Comparison, a heaviness, the feeling that life was rushing past. He was ready for something, but the big ideas felt far away.

So we began with the smallest true step: sit and follow your breath for fifteen days, nothing more, with a few gentle things to reflect on, and the knowledge that I was there for any doubt that arose. Sometimes the wisest guidance is simply a doorway a person can actually walk through.

He is on his way. Steadier, and no longer alone with it.

The fuller story

For those who want a deeper sense of who they’ll be speaking with, especially founders and professionals navigating their own journey.

I am a Jain by birth, from a Rajasthani family that made its home in West Bengal. I have lived in five states of India and travelled across countless cities, towns and villages of this country, and to more than five nations. That breadth, of cultures, circumstances and ways of living, is part of what I bring to a conversation. I have seen human life in many forms.

My career began in the early internet years, mentored by two of India’s earliest internet pioneers, Ajit Balakrishnan of Rediff and Rajesh Jain of Netcore. Since then I have spent more than twenty years inside the arena: building a 3,000-merchant payments network from zero, leading national enterprise sales in cybersecurity, scaling business development at one of India’s leading digital lending platforms, and serving as COO of a real estate developer.

With startups & founders

I have worked with or consulted for thirteen startups, invested in thirteen more, and observed hundreds of founders and companies closely over the years. Because I have lived the path from many sides, as founder, operator, seller and investor, I can sit with you honestly on the real questions: whether to build, join, or wait; how to find distribution and revenue; when to raise; how to keep momentum when nothing seems to move.

Beyond the startup world

I can also help with the challenges of corporate life, navigating organizations, difficult dynamics, and the politics that come with any workplace, along with business strategy and the real problems of running a business, and with meaningful introductions drawn from a network of more than forty thousand professional connections.

The inner ground

Alongside all of this, I have kept a steady practice, years of Vipassana meditation and reflection, and a deep interest in the wisdom traditions that have helped people live well for centuries. It is the still centre from which everything else is easier to see. It is why Equilive exists.

And at heart, I live the same balance I help others find. I am a husband to a talented, working wife, and a father of two. The juggle of work, family and inner life is not a theory to me. It is my own daily practice.

Equilive offers guidance and a space to think. It is not medical or psychological treatment. If what you are carrying needs a qualified therapist or doctor, I will say so honestly and help you find the right support. Your wellbeing comes first, always.

Some things are best thought through with someone who has been there.

If you are at a crossroads, restless, stuck, or simply seeking balance, let’s talk.
